Description:
Felix was formed in October 2003 by Andrew, Joey, and Mike. They wanted to create a band that sounded like a combination of all the bands they love, and just play music for the love of it. Andrew recruited a classmate of his, David Ruble, to play drums, as he was basically the only drummer they knew of. They played four shows from February to June at Rabbit Hill Music, selling their first collection of originals, Toledo, Ohio. The band isn't really too proud of that attempt. And rightfully so, it's horrid.
When Dave and the band parted ways in July, they asked an old buddy of theirs, Bonnie Bladen, to play drums. She basically blew them away after one audition, as she was fun, talented, and added a lot to the band. They played a couple more shows until September, when they decided to take a break to write some new (and better songs). And now that they've gotten back into playing their new songs together again, they hope to have as much fun as they can. Look for The Pulloffable EP at their future shows.
Band Members:
Andrew Spears is the lead singer (though he's not the leader, there's no leader in the band). He also plays rhythm guitar and keyboards. Mike Ehler plays bass and sings a little bit too. Joey McLaughlin does lead guitar. Bonnie Bladen on the drums.

So, where the hell has Felix been lately? Besides under a rock, we've been basically practicing ourselves to where our fingers have been bleeding on brand new material. We have a handful of brand new originals, and we feel like this is our best yet. It's basically way beyond all of old material. We've taken a more accessible, structured sound, and we love it, so we hope you will too!
In a couple weeks, we'll put up an mp3 of one of the songs that will be on our upcoming EP, entitled The Pulloffable EP. We're real great with names, we know. Right now, the predicted tracklisting is:
1) Pulloffable 2) Misery (In Missouri) 3) Mediomania 4) Get A Life 5) We're Almost Done 6) Pinnacle
Yes, we're quite aware that two of those track titles aren't even real words. Oh well. Anyways, we have a brand new setlist with songs that you guys have never heard us play before, which you'll get to hear if you come out to one of our shows. Thanks for supporting us!
