Liquid Cheese is a nine-piece band from El Paso Texas formed in 1996. With a scorching four-piece horn section and undeniable rhythm, their music is a combination of cadence and creative lyrics that is displayed at their live performances and captured on their albums. The fascination with this new breed of modern musicians is their instinctive ability to connect many genres of music, thereby shaping and molding it into something all their own. By incorporating this variety of elements they capture the feel- good essence of ska, the appeal of modern rock, the musical complexity of jazz and the infectious rhythms of latin, reggae and salsa music.
After releasing their first single ‘Used to know’ in 1997 on the compilation 710 Texas, they went forward to record three independently released albums. Their first two albums Kickin Up in the Night (2000) and Lost in the Music(2003) attracted listeners nationwide and abroad. Their much anticipated self-titled EP(Drunkmouse Records) will be released mid-June kicking off their national tour. Their critically acclaimed live show has set them apart from other bands on the circuit and is a guaranteed good time for every audience.
